January 2012 update
Happy New Year!
We are well and truly back in the swing of things here at Trunk. The first thing we did on our return was fit a stunning painted kitchen for Lou and Andrew in Abingdon Pigotts. The kitchen cabinets and doors were made from beautiful reclaimed pitch pine and finished in Farrow and Ball French Grey eco paint, topped off with 2 ” solid oak worktop of course! Special thanks to their very nice neighbours who let us use the communal gardens as our new ‘field workshop’.
Kitchen Slot Available
Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone enjoys their time off, I know we will! Its been rather hectic but we are looking good for the new year with lots to do. First thing is to tootle off to Royston and fit a lovely freestanding kitchen then back to Gosforth for more of the same. January is going to be a very busy month but it levels out in February ( we even have a kitchen space if anyone is interested? ).
No Snow, PLEASE!
Well, it was almost inevitable! Snow on the hills today which is a little early for our liking! We are just finishing off a kitchen for our clients in Royston and want to fit it in a week or so, but we were hoping the snow would have held off until we are back from installing. Never mind, I’m sure it will hold off until we are back!!!
Storytelling chair – new home found!
Early start today, and probably every day until our well deserved Xmas break. Its all hands to the pump as the orders come flooding in for dining tables, kitchens etc…The order book is filling up nicely for next year too, with some super cool projects including Yurts and tipi’s, yes thats what I’m talking about!
Kitchens everywhere!
Its around this time of the year that you start looking forward to Xmas and winding down, well not here! We are soooo busy making kitchens and furniture right up to Xmas Eve by the looks of things, but we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Oak kitchen ready to go
Its all hands to the pump here at the workshop at the moment, its very busy! We are off to Surrey next week to fit a beautiful solid reclaimed oak kitchen in an eco-refit 1930′s house. It really is one of our favourite kitchens to date. Check out Alison & Dave in the kitchen section [...]
Storytelling Chair – New Home Required
The time has come to look for a new home for our beloved HUGE Storytelling Chair which currently resides outside our workshop. Made from reclaimed oak salvaged from places like Jimmy’s Farm, Pyrex Factory in Sunderland and some old shop fronts in Northumberland it is very, very heavy and impressive.
Wardrobes to Surrey? No problem!
Just back from a few days in Surrey fitting some stunning fitted wardrobes in a lovely period property. After being quoted ‘silly money’ for melamine and chipboard wardrobes we came to the rescue and designed and installed some pitch pine ones.
Christmas is coming….
That’s right folks, I said Christmas!
OK, we know it’s still a long way off but we thought we would get in early. Every year we seem to have a last minute rush for dining tables and it has started even earlier than normal this year.
