This month will finally see the installation of two of our favourite kitchens, the long awaited sleek oak ‘Goliath in Gosforth’ and a chunky freestanding painted kitchen in Hexham.

Rethink – Reclaim – Revive

We are well and truly back in the swing of things here at Trunk. The first thing we did on our return was fit a stunning painted kitchen for Lou and Andrew in Abingdon Pigotts. The kitchen cabinets and doors were made from beautiful reclaimed pitch pine and finished in Farrow and Ball French Grey eco paint, topped off with 2 ” solid oak worktop of course! Special thanks to their very nice neighbours who let us use the communal gardens as our new ‘field workshop’.

Chris is still cracking on with a super sleek reclaimed oak kitchen for our clients in Gosforth while Lee finishes off another fab freestanding kitchen for Jenny in Hexham. This year really has started with a bang!

Alison and Neil who have had a kitchen slot booked for over 2 years are next in line for a kitchen transformation in February with another painted kitchen which hopefully be the icing on the cake just before their wedding.

Also in January we will add our core range of furniture to the site which will have prices and options available for you to buy straight through the site.

Hope everyone enjoys their time off, I know we will! Its been rather hectic but we are looking good for the new year with lots to do. First thing is to tootle off to Royston and fit a lovely freestanding kitchen then back to Gosforth for more of the same. January is going to be a very busy month but it levels out in February ( we even have a kitchen space if anyone is interested? ).

Look out for a new range of furniture that will be available in set sizes for those of you who can’t bare to wait. From beds and wardrobes to bookcases and mirrors they will all be available to buy direct from our website. Obviously the bespoke items are still available and can be discussed when you’re ready.

Well, 3 more days then a few days off, can’t wait.

Work is well underway on the next kitchen we are installing before Xmas in Gosforth and the other one in Hexham so it’s still really all go in the workshop. We also have a few little pieces of furniture to make too, so no rest for us.

Meanwhile, our friends at The Reclaimed Gift Company have started their first Fair and the new gift products have gone down a storm which means Susan will be very busy up to Xmas too!

Order book filling up nicely for next year too, so all things look rosy ( apart from the weather ).

Its also the debut of The Reclaimed Gift Company tonight at a local Xmas Fair so fingers crossed it goes to plan. The website should be up and running shortly I hope and we will keep you informed as we go.

Our cool sturytelling chair goes to its new home at Seven Stories in Newcastle today and we can’t wait to see it in place, its going to be great.

Chris is making a truly one-off kitchen for clients in Gosforth while Lee and I work on kitchens for Hertfordshire and Hexham at the same time. This coupled up with dining tables, bookcases etc… right up to Xmas.

We have also been busy booking things in for next year including kitchens, restaurants, cupcake cafe  (maybe the one we are looking forward to the most ) and a cool organic camping spot in Tarset which will be handmade Yurts and Tipi’s (www.wildnorthumbrian.co.uk) which will be furnished will all our goodies, can’t wait.

Well, can’t chat any longer. Things dont build themselves!

Made from stunning 2 ” waney edged oak, the baby brother of the 16ft monster we made for Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill In London. The chairs are upholstered in hand dyed leather and stuffed with natural horse hair and are hand tacked.
